Plot(줄거리)  : 1987년의 여름, 4명의 친구들이 그들의 우상(偶像)인 브리티시 밴드, 더 스미스(The Smiths)의 갑작스러운 해산으로 동요(動搖)한다. 그리고 그들은 "그들의 음악적인 상실을 애도하는 파티를 위한 밤"에 착수한다. 동시에 한 열정적인 스미스 팬(fan)이 지역 라디오 디제이를 총으로 위협하여 인질로 삼아 그 디제이가 스미스의 곡들(Smiths tracks)만을 선곡하도록 강요한다. 4명의 친구들은 그들의 밤을 위한 사운드트랙을 내보내는 라디오 방송국과 함께, (그들을 완전히 바꿔 놓을) 떠들석한 자아발견의 여행에 나선다.
