Plot(줄거리)  : 빅터 마틴(Victor Martin)은 은퇴한 나사 테스트 파일럿(NASA test pilot)으로, 이따금씩 팜 스프링스(Palm Springs) 근방에서 그의 절친 살(Sal)과 함께 빈티지 포르쉐(vintage Porsche)를 타고 질주한다. 그런데 그는 드래그 레이싱으로 인한 사고로 면허 취소와 포르쉐 몰수를 겪고나서 삶의 변화를 맞이한다. 그는 (어쩔 수 없이) 난생 처음으로 공공 운송 기관을 이용하다가 그와는 정반대인 캐롤라인(Caroline)을 만나고, 사랑과 삶을 다시 순항(順航)시키는 법을 배우면서, 그의 면허와 포르쉐를 되찾기 위해서 새로운 주(지방)검사와 맞선다.
