Summary(개요)  :  8-year-old Jenny (Violet McGraw) is constantly caught in the middle of the feuding between her lawyer mother Maggie (Mamie Gummer) and artist father Jeff (Rupert Friend). She leads a lonely but imaginative life, surrounded by puppets called “Grisly Kin”, which are based on the works of her father. When Maggie is tragically killed in a hit-and-run, Jeff and Jenny try to piece together a new life. But when Maggie’s father (Brian Cox) sues for custody, and babysitter Samantha (Madeline Brewer) tries to be the new woman of the house, life in their Brooklyn townhome takes a dark turn. The puppets and frightening characters come to life and Jenny is the only person who can see them. Plot(줄거리)  : 8살의 제니(Jenny)는 변호사 엄마 매기(Maggie)와 예술가 아빠 제프(Jeff) 간의 불화의 중간에서 끊임없이 갈팡질팡한다. 제니는 예술가 아빠의 작품을 기반으로 한 그리즐리 킨(Grisly Kin)이라 불리는 인형들에 둘러싸인 채로 외롭지만 상상력이 풍부한 삶을 이어간다. 매기가 비극적으로 자동차 뺑소니로 인해서 사망하자, 제프와 제니는 점차 새로운 삶을 짜맞추어 만들려고 노력한다. 그러나 매기의 아버지가 양육권 소송을 제기하고, 베이비시터 사만다(Samantha)가 그 가정의 새로운 여자가 되려고 하자, 그들의 브루클린 타운홈에서의 생활은 갑자기 어둠의 전환점을 맞이한다. 그 인형들과 무서운 캐릭터들이 살아 움직이고, 제니는 그것들을 볼 수 있는 유일한 사람이다. 그 엽기적인 크리처들의 동기가 분명해지자, 모두의 생명이 엄청난 위험에 처한다.
