Plot(줄거리)  : 앤(Anne)은 소도시의 성직자 제이콥(Jakob)과 결혼한 상태이다. 그녀는 그녀의 삶과 결혼 생활이 지난 30년 동안 움츠러들고 있는 것처럼 느끼고 있다. 그런데 "더 마스터"(The Master)와의 우연한 만남 이후, 그녀는 새로운 힘의 감각과 전보다 더 크고 대담하게 살고싶은 욕구를 발견한다. 앤이 점점 더 그녀의 매혹적인 새로운 존재와 그녀의 이전 삶 사이에서 괴로워하는 사이에 사망자수(the body count)는 늘어만 간다. 제이콥은 그가 당연시했던 아내와 싸워야만 한다는 것을 깨닫는다.
