Plot(줄거리)  :  활기차고 멋진 1970년대 중반을 배경으로, 이 또다른 세계(this Elseworlds)에서 브루스 웨인은 (부모님의 죽음이라는 비극을 격은 후에) 마스터 오 센세이의 문하(門下)로 들어간다. 그곳에서 브루스는 오 센세이의 다른 수제자들과 함께 무술훈련의 열정을 가지고 부단히 수련한다. 오 센세이는 건너편 세계의 문인 '게이트'와 그 열쇠인 '소울 브레이커'를 수호(守護)하고자 제자를 양성하고 있다. 그러나 오 센세이가 소울 브레이커를 최고의 제자인 레이디 시바에게 수여한 후 얼마 지나지 않아 비극적인 사건이 발생하고, 브루스를 비롯한 제자들은 뿔뿔이 흩어져서 각자의 삶을 살아간다. 브루스는 고담시로 돌아가서 배트맨이 되었고, 리차드 드래곤은 세계적으로 유명한 무술가가 되었으며, 벤 터너는 브론즈 타이거라 불리며 전 세계적인 살인마 광신자 조직 코브라 교단과 싸웠다. 그리고 레이디 시바는 고담 차이나타운의 조직범죄 우두머리가 되어 무자비함과 성질로 이름을 날린다. 그런데 그들의 과거로부터 비롯된 치명적인 위협이 수면 위로 올라오면서 그들이 형성한 일생의 유대가 시험에 놓인다. 이 세계와 건너편 세계의 몬스터들(monsters)과의 전투를 치르기 위해서는 배트맨, 리차드 드래곤, 벤 터너, 그리고 레이디 시바의 단합된 노력이 필요하다.
